Do you need to be really strong and fit?
You don't need to be super fit or strong to learn the sport, in fact the sport is more to do with the technique when you start. As you progress you’ll soon find the strength you need will develop just by getting on the water as regular as possible.
Which is easier waterski or wakeboard?
Either Waterskiing or Wakeboarding can be learnt by a total novice, we find if you Snow Ski or Snowboard you will naturally be drawn to the same on water. If you have not done any other of these sports quite often Waterskiing can be a slightly easier movement pattern to pick up.
What age can kids do it from?
We teach Children from the age of 4 years old. However, we have found over the years that the age of the child doesn't matter as much, the biggest factor while teaching children is their confidence in the water. Their confidence in Open Water can be developed simply by allowing children to play in the lake.
Do you need to be a good swimmer?
You don't need to be a good swimmer, as long as your conformable floating in the water. We provide you with bouncy aids which takes away the need to swim, but you do need to be comfortable in the water before you try to Waterski or Wakeboard.
Will it be a full lesson?
All our session are undertaken by fully qualified British Waterski & Wakeboard coaches with a Minimum of a Level 2 Coaching Qualification.
What do I need to bring?
All you need to bring is a swim suit and towel, we provide all the other equipment necessary to learn the sport.
Is the water cold?
We only provide complete beginner lesson from 1st April to 31st October in the UK. During this time we provide full length wet suits to keep you warm, during the peak summer months its often warm enough for just shorts.
When do I need to arrive?
We Recommend arriving 30 minutes before your booked sessions, this will give us plenty of time to get you ready and perform a dry land lesson.
