Open Water Swimming Safety Officer

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

1. Taking responsibility for the maintenance, repair and security of all Safety Kit before each

2. You will be in charge of over all safety & to ensure the lake a safe environment

3. Following the emergency action plan in accordance with policies and procedures

4. To perform lifeguarding duties in accordance with our standards

5. Able to work independently and as part of a team and maintain effectively

6. To work as part of a team, setting up & packing up

7. To maintain a flexible attitude and to be prepared to move between roles

Qualifications and Experience required:

Experience with on water safety

High Level of experience driving outboard boats

Qualifications are a bonus and will be provided if necessary

Essential for this role:

1. Previous customer service experience

2. First Aid certificate

3. Previous experience in a safety managerial role (Desirable)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

1. Ability to react calmly, quickly and effectively in emergencies

2. Knowledge of emergency First Aid procedures

4. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

5. Ability to effectively communicate with customers of all ages, and other staff

6. Able to work using own initiative

7. The ability to confidently hold a conversation in English

2-6 session per week, depending on time of season
